PLATELET-RICH FIBRIN
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a second generation to Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). PRF, is an all-natural solution that can treat areas in the face that show the first signs of aging, like under-eye hollows, deflated cheeks and in the scalp for hair restoration. PRF treatment boosts your own body’s healing by concentrating the healing components of your blood. Prior to starting the procedure (PRF Face or Hair), your nurse will draw a small amount of your blood from your arm. That blood will then be spun in a centrifuge in order to separate and concentrate the plasma, platelets, and fibrin. The PRF solution will then be used to treat area of concern.

Downtime?
Following your PRF treatment, you can expect to leave the office with what looks like a moderate sunburn. You can expect 1-3 days of redness, swelling, and possible itchiness. During the first few days, you should avoid sun exposure to the treated area. For the first 24 hours, we recommend nothing be applied to the skin except an Aquaphor-like ointment.

Downtime after PRF usually only lasts a couple days . Some redness, bruising, and swelling are to be expected after your treatment, and you may experience some flaking in the area treated.
How many treatments?
For optimal results we recommend 3-4 treatments. Number of treatments required is dependent upon the patient’s treatment goals and individual current skin condition. Visible results can start to be seen within a few weeks, but the most noticeable results typically appear after three months.

After results are achieved, yearly maintenance is recommended along with following a good medical grade skincare regime.
